Beaudies House of Hockey, Ringette and Skating Mission Statement:

The mission of Beaudies House of Hockey, Ringette and Skating (BHOHRS) is to provide a training environment both on and off the ice that allow players of all ages to grow and develop at a pace that is comfortable yet challenging for the player. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment where each player will improve and progress through the various phases of their skating, hockey, or ringette development.

The staff of BHOHRS are committed to putting the player's needs first, practicing skills and tactics by using properly paced drills, increasing muscle memory through consistent repetitions, and creating attainable goals. At Beaudies House of Hockey, Ringette and Skating, we care about the overall development of each player and strive with each session to create an atmosphere that is positive and inclusive to every player.

Jr. Warriors Program (Spring Only):

Goal: Deliver, promote, and encourage hockey development for all players. Players in our program will receive 75 minutes of ice time for skill development which could include Power Skating, Puck Control, Passing, and Shooting.

Development Topics: Power Skating; includes but not limited to the following: edges, quick feet, agility, and transitions. Player Skill Development, puck control, stickhandling, passing, shooting, and checking.

Mission: Teach all kids the proper dynamics and fundamentals of skating, skills, and team sportsmanship.

Why: To educate and allow for more puck touches, more, shots and more overall ice time thus improving basic core hockey skills. The program will take place at Abbotsford Ice Rink and the smaller ice surface has been proven to help players develop quicker and make better decision-making skills to promote team play and team communication.

Beaudies Warrior Skating Academy is designed for skaters of all ages and experiences. Whether you have never been on the ice or have skated for several years, we have designed a program to teach the “proper” fundamentals of skating. Players will learn about balance, stride, open hips, posture, edge and much more. Beaudies Skating Academy will help prepare students for Figure Skating, Hockey, Ringette and additional BHOH programs.

Beaudies Academy of Hockey is designed for players who can skate unassisted and are able to move on the ice with out assistance from the coaches. We have various programs being offered for different age groups and levels of experience.

FUNdamentals of Hockey is designed for children who can skate without assistance, have a desire to play hockey or are new to the game and looking to improve. The program will help prepare students for Hockey and additional BHOH programs. BHOH Coaches will provide an on-ice instruction ratio of 1:6 to provide small class sizes to provide generous player development throughout the week.

Bar Down Hockey Skills Development is designed for those looking to correct and improve on their overall puck handling and shooting skills. The program will incorporate, forward and backwards skating, puck control, passing and shooting. Our professional coaches will continue to work on proper hand, arm and body placement while showing how to perfectly balance their weight while in motion. Players will work on their strength and accuracy in their wrist shots and based on individuals they could in addition learn wrist, snap, slap shots, as well as one timer, rebounds and shooting in motion.

Youth Program for ages 8+

Power Skating for Hockey or Ringette (Coed) will focus on proper movement to increase player speed and agility. BHOH Pro-Coaches will cover formal and corrective instruction proper balance and weight transfer, elongated strides and leg recovery to speed, open hips, inside/outside edges, pivots and transitions, power starts, explosive maneuvers, stopping, cross-overs both forwards and backwards. Each class is divided into two main parts: Part (A) learn and understand skills such as edges, blade awareness, turns, pivots, body control, and transitional skills. Part (B) developing forward and backward strides, turns, stops, starts, and open hip technique.

Power Skating and Skills will cover formal instruction in balance and weight transfer, elongated strides, open hips, inside/outside edges, stopping, crossovers with puck control, shooting, passing, and receiving.

Youth Programs for ages 10+

Adult Warriors 3 on 3 Hockey Development Program

Goalies Play Free, Max 12 players

Goal: Deliver, promote, and encourage hockey development for all players. Players in our program will receive skill development which could include Power Skating, Puck Control, Passing, and Shooting. After the player development session has been completed players will then be put into two teams to play a 3 on 3 Pond Hockey Game which is officiated, coached, and supervised by our very own Beaudies Warrior Coaches.

Development Topics: Power Skating; includes but not limited to the following: edges, quick feet, agility, and transitions. Player Skill Development, puck control, stickhandling, passing, shooting, and checking.
